Server Rooms / Edit Bays
One of our specialties has been the cleanup and rebuilding of post-production facilities. After a full exploratory walk through, we will create solutions for server rooms that have gotten completely out of hand over time and become a problem to maintain good connectivity and reasonable order. The mass of over-patching and blocking of visibility creates a dis-functional environment.
MelroseTEC will strip all lines from the patch panel and either replace or relocate the switchers and servers into a more manageable location. We will create a space between the voice, data, and edit server patch panels to insert the most local device. From here, utilizing 1- 3 ft patch cables, and re-labeling, we will provide a clean and reliable platform. A full test to all ports and Edit Bays will be performed thereafter.
We will also perform a full test for all fiber-optical lines with a fluke tester and submit a detailed report with capabilities and repair status for all lines. In the Edit Bays, we will continue cleanup, and improvements to all locations. These sorts of scenarios may also co-inside with upgrades, future proofing, and modification to all areas.
